| * STUDIO OLAFUR ELIASSON, Sonnenergie 22 |
A kinetic installation by Tomás Saraceno, where suspended globes interact with thermodynamic rhythms, creating an immersive experience of motion and light. At Konzept:Werk, we developed prototypes for motors, air systems, weight-balancing solutions, and programmed the globes’ movement to achieve precise spatial choreography.
| * Frederik Fialin, WSA. |
Situated in the gardens of Villa Antinori in Tuscany, Sun Clock is a large-scale solar-powered kinetic installation functioning as a contemporary sundial. Its precise alignment and motorized mechanisms interact with sunlight to mark the passage of time. With the Konzept:Werk team, we revisited this sculptural timekeeper—paused during the pandemic—to repair its motor systems and update its programming, restoring its harmonious synchronization with the solar cycle.
